Cricket is basically a simple sport. Each team takes its turn to bat (scoring runs) and bowl (getting the opposition batsmen out). The team with the most runs at the end wins. Unless the game is drawn, of course. Like any sport that’s been around for a while, cricket has its own laws, legend and language.https://www.dummies.com/article/home-auto-hobbies/sports-recreation/cricket/cricket-for-dummies-cheat-sheet-209227/

What is retired hurt rule in cricket? If the batter is retiring because of an injury, illness, or any unavoidable circumstances then the batter will be considered as retired hurt. In stats, the batter will be counted as retired hurt-not out, and the batter will be allowed to resume the innings if he/she wishes to continue in the later part of the game.
