   A bonfire isn’t going to melt the ice. We do it every year, a big bonfire on Valentine’s Day weekend, burning many (100s) of Christmas trees.

   The current domestic factory raised turkeys are all white. And they are so highly bred that they can hardly walk when mature because of their overdeveloped breasts. I l I’ve in an area with lots of turkey farms and turkey processing and see them go by in semitrailers to be processed.

   We’re getting old (76 and 75) so we’re not getting another dog or cat. Our last cat stayed with our farmhouse when we sold it and moved to town and she is still doing well. A son who is a couple of blocks away has a nice little old dachshund and we take care of him when needed, so we do have a dog in our lives. And there are a couple of neighborhood outside cats that are sometimes friendly.

    Butterball and other commercially raised turkeys are white, and the colored plumage turkeys are typically able to survive better on their own.
