    Yes true, although the syndicate ran reprints until 2015.

    The printing was weak on this original material and it was tweaked as much as possible to make the image stronger. Sadly, these pages are so rare that it was difficult to find a replacement.

    Artists shared a page as early as 1899. Mixing characters in a story was done by the Hearst stable of artists in 1902.

    Hey! Trudeau swiped this gag from “Little Nemo.” WInsor McCay broke the fourth wall with the “where’s the color” bit 100 years ago!

    Sadly these travel pages ended here on April 23, 1911. Nemo never did get to Milwaukee. Next Sunday will be the final page of this series.

    Yes, apologies to all Nemophiles. The last two strips had been posted out of order, so to keep the story straight the dates were swapped.
