That Ripley’s spot is very poorly written and explained. It should say “The FORCE that acts…” (No “g”. that just confuses things.). Also, WHEN does that force act on the knot? At rest? When running? Accelerating? So much fail in this one.
G-force is a scale of force in relation to the equivalent gravitational force on earth. It’s like if you said I was 3 apples high, that doesn’t mean I’m literally composed of three stacked apples, but just that my height is equivalent to that. 1 G-force means that the force is equivalent to the force exerted by earth’s gravity. That’s what the “G” means.
I actually did MORE VTC-ing back in the 1999-2000 time period than I’ve ever done since.
My organization will not pay you for your time if it takes longer to drive somewhere than fly. Thus, I’d have to take leave if it took me longer than a day to drive somewhere.
I work with a guy that’s afraid to fly so he drives EVERYWHERE. He burns up a lot of vacation time that way.
Really? You’ve carried a weapon and had to kill people who wanted to kill you? You should definitely add that to your Wikipedia page along with your flunking out of engineering school!
