   Some places (like here near Fort Bragg) are cash cows on St. Patricks Day and Memorial Day just because of the sheer number of young soldiers that will go out and get hammered off post and then try to drive back. Trust me, every.single.year on those holidays before I retired we had multiple briefings on don’t drive drunk stuff and I personally would warn soldiers…and every year someone would get busted. (and the army believes in ‘mass punishment’ so the rest of the battalion would get yelled at because of two or three morons)

   I’m trying to NOT make our puppy scared. (though he seems to be a little afraid of me and I don’t know why)

   But then he doesn’t listen to me either.

   We had a washer but no dryer. My grandmother used a clothesline in the backyard. But my aunt would use the Laundromat and take her son and myself with her. She’d buy us comics and stuff so we’d behave while she did her laundry.

   I had a brined that was gifted in that department. One day a captain (army, we worked in the pentagon at the time) was asking us to work on a project and kept doing the Henry thing. IT was hilarious because she kept saying “I’m up here, sir. I’m up here, sir.”. After she had walked away I told him just do like I do, look at the top of her head.

   Sorry Rover….I know a redhead guy I grew up with. As we got older he grew a big red beard. He’s a big guy…..now we’re in our fifties and he looks like Santa Claus.
