The recognition problem can be real. I posted a picture of my daughter and her husband on my FB and had at least three people post because they recognized him. (And he doesn’t even have “a million” followers as far as I know. I haven’t looked lately.) And I know he gets recognized a lot when he’s out and about. (It helps that his voice is distinctive.)
So, yeah, the “I don’t want to be recognized” thing as an “influencer” is on target.
“Sloth” as in being slothful: lazy, slow to move, sleepy. Also, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Or did y’all somehow think the animal “sloth” is a deadly sin?
I’m going with, she hasn’t actually jumped. She’s still standing in the lobby of the office, daydreaming about doing it. Nothing once she realized she was going alone fit Luann’s usual SOP. The “landing” will be when the instructor wakes her up, “Luann? Luann? Are you okay? Are you ready to get on the plane?”
Y’all talking about Dez’ size in the second panel being bigger? Didn’t you notice that Bets and the sign/sheet got bigger as well? The perspective moved in closer, so they drew them bigger. Because, you know, things that are close look bigger than things further away?
Bets is so self-centered, she’s making high school Tiffany look good. She didn’t even register that she knew the name on the post.As for Luann and Tiff becoming besties, Bernice sure doesn’t seem to be in that role other than as habit. The only growth in those two characters has been to emphasize their differences. Tiff is definitely the main character now.
The 80 year olds I know seem to fear nothing, including the dance floor every Friday night.
