This is brilliant. It encapsulates U.S. foreign policy—left, right, and center—for the past 70 years or so. The U.S. might be in better shape if we realized that we, too, live in the middle of the street, and are dodging deadly traffic day in and day out. Should we help other countries? Well, duh. Of course we should. Should we try to remake every society on earth to be more like our own? Obviously not. A little more humility would do wonders for the the U.S..
I just don’t get this cartoon. Is Anderson mocking or criticizing pro-choice activists, or is he portraying them as beleaguered heroes who…throw tampons? Even though no one actually threw any tampons, despite what Fox News says? I just don’t get it.
Get it!? A Chinese dragon!? It’s so clever! Just like that clever Japanese character played by Mickey Rooney in BReakfast at Tiffany’s! Watermelon and fried chicken may be taboo now, but stereotypes of Asians just never get old! アジア人に対する差別は未だに許されている。
What the hell is this supposed to mean? Current was in serious trouble. Al Jazeera is a serious, high-quality news channel that wanted to enter the American market. I don’t even know what this cartoon is intended to imply. Al Gore is a greedy person for celling Current to Al Jazeera? Why? Why are Murdoch’s shenanigans okay while this sale is somehow suspect? Hate Arabas much, Signe?
This made me laugh harder than it should have.
