I like birthday cards! I like to send them and I like to receive them. I send online cards via Jacquie Lawson(beautiful cards). They are lovely, animated cards. My family and friends like to receive them and I love to send them. Some cards, like Hallmark, are sent via postal Service, Getting a card is a form of love (at least to me).

A retired teacher of 32 years, teaching is “no walk in the park” that is for sure. I remember hauling my homework ( checking essays/term papers, etc.) to my son’s ball game. I sat checking “my homework” when HE HIT A HOMERUN WITH BASES LOADED and I did not see the hit! I only looked up when everyone was cheering for my son! I joined in on the cheers, but AFTER the hit! My son was angry and hurt. He said, “Why do you even come, if you don’t watch me, at least at bat?” I never brought anything but beverages to the game again.

The older I get the less makeup I use, but I will never give up my moisturizing sunscreen after several skin cancer treatments!

Dementia is a cruel disease. . . More for the loved ones than the patient.

A teacher is appreciated more after the students become adults and realize the importance and dedication of a teacher. My teacher-heart is warmed by the acknowledgment from former student stories of my dedication and my love of the subject I taught. Although I had students from other teachers’ classes come for guidance and tutoring.

We have the bells on the door handle for our dog to ring. She’s really good at that, but she also knows to bark when at a door where there are no bells, like visiting my kids/grandkids.

I like if hubby goes grocery shopping w/ me, then he can’t complain that there’s nothing to eat since he could add to the cart.

I’ve had knee replacement, no kneeling for me!

Thank goodness my kids live on lakes so my grands play outside all the time year-round. All belong on sport teams during school time and are avid readers. One gift every birthday and Christmas is a book. Each house contains a library of all kind of books for reading pleasure. One of my grandma pleasures was reading to my 8 grands and seeing the older grands reading to the younger grands on holidays. I am blessed.
