Ah, but Mr. Big points out that you are not thinking like a Pottsylvanian. The Mumps think like Pottsylvanians. They are knowing that you can’t deport millions of people at once; lots of paperwork, many logistical problems, silly legal challenges about the Constitution and things from woke mob. So in Pottsylvania we understand that you have to put them someplace first. Can’t leave them at home since they might flee the country before we can deport them.

You must put them in nice, safe, detention camps which we already have many of and which we can get oligarch buddies to build more of. But they are costing money to feed and house, so is only faIr that they pay their way. By maybe picking produce since we are having many openings. Everybody wins! Except for immigrants, but we are not counting them; looks bad to do that.

Ah, you are living on counter-Earth, then. On this earth, the USA fought against fascists, not with them. But that was in the Before Time.

It’s Calvin’s country now. You are all just living it in. For the time being, anyway. Fearless Leader and Mr. Big, on the other hand, could not be more pleased.

In another decade or so his chin would be on his chest. Also, he might have to stoop a bit. :-)

“Democracy Dies in Darkness.” In other news, WaPo management has removed all the lightbulbs as a cost-saving measure.

IIRC the whole right/left thing goes back to the French Revolution. From Britannica.com: “The origin of the left/right political axis is generally dated to 1789, when the French National Assembly met in Versailles. During the several days of this meeting, the legislators who upheld revolutionary values tended to group themselves on the left of the assembly, while those who supported the monarchy were grouped on the right. This helped establish a persistent association between the left and revolutionary values, which tended toward egalitarianism, and between the right and traditionalist or hierarchical values.”
