I live in Massachusetts, we share the black-capped chickadee with Maine.

You can ignore politics, but it won’t ignore you.

I started wearing plaid shirts somewhere around 1970, I was 15 at the time. Dick Nixon was president and the war in Vietnam was going full-tilt, so yeah I was pretty constantly pissed-off about something. I didn’t realize I was already a grown-up.

Which is not the same as a “frappe” sans accent aigu.

A “Frappe” is what we in New England call what the rest of you know as a milkshake. There’s no coffee involved, unless it’s coffee ice cream. Here, milkshakes are just milk & syrup, no ice cream.

Dated 3/9. But 3/9 of what year? Nothing recent, that’s for sure.

Believe it or not, radical centrism is a thing. From Wikipedia:

“Radical centrism, also called the radical center, the radical centre, and the radical middle, is a concept that arose in Western nations in the late 20th century. The radical in the term refers to a willingness on the part of most radical centrists to call for fundamental reform of institutions. The centrism refers to a belief that genuine solutions require realism and pragmatism, not just idealism and emotion.”

No, it likes them just fine, as long as they merely regurgitate what the PIO tells them. That’s why journalists were embedded during the wars in the Mideast, to make sure they saw what the military wanted them to see and didn’t go wandering around finding out stuff on their own. It also made them dependent on the unit they were with.
