beviek: You don’t know socialized medicine. My Canadian doctor never had to run a test he couldn’t do himself, generally while I was still there, and had a peer-reviewed research paper published every year or so in major medical journals (including Lancet). The only time he referred me to a specialist was for an eye examination.
