    I get it. When you invite them, you know people are coming at a specific moment in time, so you can prepare for that time. When they just drop in by surprise, you are not prepared mentally or physically (in terms of house prep).

    Well, hey, once you open the door to invite them in, they’ll do the Indecisive Cat Dance (™), in which they step inside to only step back outside and back inside briefly then outside again, leading you to yell at them, ‘Schroedinger had the right idea!’

    I’ve never understood these comics about cats hiding when guests arrived. Every cat I’ve owned would come to the door with me or be there beforehand. They’ve always loved guests.
