I don’t get it. I’m guessing it’s a reference to something I’m not familiar with.

If it hadn’t been for him I’d have been married a long time ago, too…

Don’t bother waiting for his wife, she’ll be coming around the mountain when she comes.

    “Cotton Eye Joe”:

If it hadn’t been for Cotton-Eye Joe / I’d been married long time ago / Where did you come from, where did you go? / Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?

“Cotton-Eyed Joe” is a foot stomping, jump-up-and-down, goofy song that makes us all get out of our chairs and onto the dance floor. Turns out, the character the classic 90s song is about actually originated a long time ago. He even predates the American Civil War!

Actually, he was the getaway driver in the bank heist. He was the only one that knew the way to San Jose!

Who wants to tell him that the song is actually about venereal disease?

Cotton Eye Joe was born a “person of interest” in police investigations.

Palookaville! Good way to drive parental units bonkers. Answer every question with Palookaville and start every sentence with In Palookaville. Nieces drove bro nuts doing that.
