I’ve spent probably $10,000 on cut flowers in my life. Never wasted a penny. How can someone waste $150 on cable TV and not have a few bucks for flowers? And books, how can I not afford books? When I see a family member discover an author I love, I feel I might have some small purpose in the world..
the book chain i buy from has what they used to call an “avid reader” card (for discount on purchases). once, when a cashier asked if i was an avid reader i said
“constant” was a lot nearer the mark.
