I agree with Whimsical Cats – us cats are always happy and positive. Love this one too. Should have have tabs for ‘Rover!’ too. For all you naysayers, I think this is the last day of these cute comics. Boo Hoo.
I love Rover’s eyes in this; completely appropriate for chasing squirrels. We have an interesting dynamic going on with our two border collies, the things they learn from each other. The latest is our most recent rescue, the timid, shy one, has learned to not just chase squirrels – which our first b.c. does — but bark at them up in the trees, which the first one does not do. So special at 7 a.m. on the weekend for the neighbors whose bedroom windows face those trees. :(
To all those that have nothing better to do in their day, but complain how a comic strip is done:
1. Think you can do better? DO IT!2. Don’t like what the artist is doing? GO AWAY!3. Want to complain? GO ELSEWHERE!4. Want to be an idiot? YOU ALREADY ARE!
At first it’s Funny, then it’s Cute, and then it starts to wear just a little Thin. The trick is knowing when to quit and start being funny and cute again!
A warning to the whiners: It was this kind of mean-minded complaining that made Brian give up on “Adam@Home.” If you want to lose “Red and Rover” too you’re going about it the right way!
No I did not. Open your eyes and read what I said. This was to those people who have nothing better to do in their day, but to complain about how an artist does his job.
Free speech is one thing, constant complaints about how someone does their job is another. How would you like to have a bunch of people messaging you, complaining about how you do your job?

I’ve never seen Rover look quite so crazed! It’s okay, boy, just take a couple of Milky Bones and you’ll feel better…

And that wraps up a week of cut out and tape to pencil interactive puppet Red and Rover comic strips. Hope you made a lot of these!
By the way, this one has Rover and a Squirrel but not Red.

Exchange Rover with my Irish Setter, and there she is, chasing the squirrels while we are on our daily walk, LOL!
Loved this week’s arc, Brian! ;)
