Only a little off of the sides and top, please. Red, you agreed to more than just a trim, remember?! Personally, ma'am, I'm with your son on this. Make sure to leave him a big tip, mom.
@catfeetYou are correct; what does a bald barber know about hair cuts anyway. Red will probably end up with a Mohawk; too much off the side and not enough off the top.
Here’s a thought for you, assuming there is only one barber shop in town, and there are two barbers in the shop, and assuming both chairs are empty, who should you choose to cut your hair?.The one with the very well done, professional hair cut, or the one who looks like his hair was cut using a FLOWBEE, or worse, pinking shears?
I’m retired so don’t worry about looking “professional”. What’s left of my hair is combed straight back and tied in a pony tail. When the top gets bare, I’ll shave the center, keep the tail and claim “New Age Franciscan” status. :-)
Mom never went with me to the barber..Back then it was dad and me and he got his done first while I read “The Green Lantern” comics..or," Boys Life" Magazine. I loved the smell of the barbershop, very therapeutic..

Which is worse, losing your hair, or discovering that you have a weird-shaped head?

Its nice to be able to tell the barber what you’d like, Red! Part of your learning experience… Sorry, Mom! ;)

A bald barber? I love the irony!

I don’t think I’ve seen many women wear that style since the 1960s. BTW, I turn 60 today .

I wish I could have a head of hair like the barber. I always thought hair was a pain, and more of a pain the longer it got.

@neverenoughgoldI would pick the one with the messy hair; that barber probably did the professional cut for the other barber.
