So, how come dogs have selective hearing like mine does, LOL! She can hear our SUV coming up the driveway because she starts barking as we pull in! And, when we lock the doors electronically, she really goes nuts because she knows that sound. Gotta love that girl! (she’s an Irish Setter named “Katie.”) ;)
I may have said this before; but, years ago I had a car with fairly loud pipes! It was impossible for me to sneak into the house without my wife knowing I arrived! Not to mention our dog running to the door and whining!.It did help keep me honest…
My husband and I have often watched our dogs taking up the “welcome home” position when the other one was still some way out on their way home. I’d love to live a day inside my dog. I’m not sure they’d want to trade, however. Well, maybe at dinner time…

I know some hounds that have super duper sight; one fluff of the tail and their bodies scream squirrel.

Mine would greet me with a smile, and a wag of the tail stub.
