Red, want to earn some money? Sure! Here, I'll pay you a dollar to untangle these Christmas lights. Wowsers. Last year dad paid me to take the lights off the tree. Then this must be your lucky time of year. Luck has nothing to do with it- I'm the one who put them away all tangled up.

Wow, a dollar is quite generous for back then. When I was a kid in the sixties/seventies my dad offered me fifty cents a pound for any dichondra I could pick out of the lawn. I was too young to understand what a cheap skate he was until it came time to pay me, lol.
