My dog once got into my laundry. Ruined a couple of bras and a turtleneck shirt. I think he just loved the smell of me in those items, but I was not happy to find them ruined.
Rover Rover my Alex (black Lab) would carry the dirty clothes down 3 flight of stairs to the washroom and after they were done back up to the bedroom and watch me put them away.
