I always thought it would make much more sense to have 13 months with 28 days each and then just take one day off each year.

Today I wished my sister a Happy Birthday.

Though it has the fewest days, February is the longest month of the year!

I feel cheated out of my entire last year.

February is a good month to be short. I would feel cheated if it was July.

Rover only knows how to be Red’s best friend.

And I feel cheated out of at least one year – and counting – out of my life!

Twelve months of 30 days and a Mid-Year Day holiday and a 5 or 6 day year end holiday. If it works for Middle Earth why not us? The Romans originally had a 10 month calendar and for many years the Julian and Gregorian calendars were both in use because some countries declined to adopt Greg’s for years.

I can hardly wait until this month is over! Hopefully we’ll get back to some normalcy.
