My Rugby can only hold on to a ball with snow on it for just a moment. To cold on teeth. So we stopped that. Rover is better @ that anyways.

If the snow is light and fluffy, Newton will snuffle his snout in it, but that’s about all!

Kind of reminds me of my St. Bernard’s first snow. I rarely ever let him off the leash in public but we went to the park and I let him go. He ran from one area to the next at full gallop for ages; hilarious and precious. God, I miss that dog. I miss all of them, but after nearly forty years, I still miss him the most.

I had a snowplow guy that would blade off a section of the yard for our short-legged Corgi to do her business. She was thrilled.

We once owned two Labs and I’d play “fetch the apple” with them. We had a dwarf apple tree next to a bean field. I’d throw an apple into the field and usually the female, faster of the two, would run out and fetch it but the apple never make it back to me without being devoured. I usually stopped after 3 or 4 so the poor pooch wouldn’t end up with a tummy ache.
