Did you also know that the chimp in question had been given some sort of psychotropic drugs before the situation. Such drugs have the known side effect of causing violence.

Actually, our closest relative is the Bonobo, also known as the Pygmy Chimpanzee. Also, no matter what, animals are animals. Even humans snap in extreme situations, so why wouldn’t animals like chimps?
