There is a museum of cement in San Sebastian, Spain. Large solar panel farms can reflect light rays so intense that they kill birds flying overhead! Try... Before you die!! Visitors to an annual funeral trade fair in Tokyo, Japan, can try out coffins and outfits to wear at their funerals.

Oh, those poor birds.

I think more correctly this refers to solar concentrators, not solar panels.

The point of using alternative sources of energy is NOT to compete, but to provide means to use LESS of that traditionally produced energy. It has taken 150 years to get to this point – we can make this transition in considerably less time, regardless of the traditional energy cos. efforts to deny, dismiss, and outrightly bad-mouth any alternative forms of energy production, desperate as they are to maintain their almost monopolistic control over it, and its profits. Never mind the trolls, and keep on keepin’ on …

I doubt it’s the kind of photovoltaic panels you’re envisioning. There are solar farms that use mirrors that aim the light at a central point. Near that target the temperature and light become extreme. That’s more likely to be the type that’s killing birds.
