As a performance stunt, Asha Rani had 40 motorbikes drive over her stomach in one minute in her village of Rampur Attari, in Punjab, India, in July 2014. The shock of an electric eel can remotely control the muscles of its prey, freezing it or making it move to reveal its location. A road in Shandong, China, was covered in thousands of quilts to prevent it from cracking and cold weather in November 2014.

Any electric shock can make muscles convulse. The eel isn’t anything special.
