What’s the science behind a microwaved ball going faster than a frozen one?

Good baseball tip if you’re playing a game in the Artic or in hell.

I get the feeling that the baseball thing is more about how far it flies after being hit. A warm baseball would likely be more flexible and responsive (having a ‘bouncing’ effect), while a frozen one would be like hitting a rock!

To what means would they test this on a baseball? Is that going t be the next scandal? " Microgate, the Reds were disqualified when they found the team was microwaving their balls" That could also cause cancer, I suppose.

When asked if the scandal was true, Pete Rose commented, “I wouldn’t bet on it!”

Coins are fairer. The roller has a slight disadvantage in a dice game.

I believe both teams take turns using the same ball, so where is the advantage?

Is the pilot thing start after take-off or right before because I’ve heard black box recordings (yeah, I’m morbid) of pilots chit chatting as they do their safety checks before take-off.

The coin flip, dice roll, drawing the high card, etc., techniques are quite common for deciding close elections. Don’t really think they belong here. I also think they have been shown here before, so Ripley is being lazy.
