Located in Dunedin, New Zealand, Baldwin Street's 19 degree slope makes it the steepest in the world! The holes and Swiss cheese are caused by microscopically small hay particles! David Rosdeitcher of Boulder, Colorado, also known as the ZIP Code man, has memorized all 48,000 ZIP Codes in the US!

I wonder if David has memorized all the other international postal codes. As for the Swiss cheese, I thought it was caused by air bubbles from bacteria.

I knew a guy who, if you told him the name of any town in America, he could tell you the county in which it was located.

That’s it, I’m done reading this strip. Publishing something without the tiniest attempt to verify it is unethical. Even for a comic strip. (The holes are caused by bacteria belching carbon dioxide, which is why the larger the holes, the stronger the flavour. It’s not hay, sheesh!)

I saw David at a busker festival in Denver. His process is interesting, he starts with the state, then nearest large city and works his way down to the town/PO name. Takes him 10-30 seconds to get the answer but nobody there could stump him.

The hay is no longer grass reeded, it has been through the cow or goats digestion, and is very different!

I wonder how steep Lombard Street in San Francisco would be if it weren’t for all those hairpin turns and switchbacks?

I’m not sure about that street. I know there are many streets in SF that make you feel like your going off a cliff when you turn on to them!

I wonder if that’s why Zonker could talk to the plants in Doonesbury?

Unfortunately, he doesn’t know the locations of any of those zip codes.

Are all those streets ADA compliant for those in wheelchairs?
