I’d bet that sheep has never been more glad to see people.

That’s a lot of wool for a few sweaters and socks. As for Child’s shark repellent, no comment. As for the Finnish sport of throwing phones, I hope it’s with old, expired phones.

    1) Are there extra points for hitting a tv with the mobile phone from 20 yards out?2) One could make a joke about Julia’s cooking being the shark repellent, but that just wouldn’t be true.3) How did sheep survive before humans sheared them?

During WWII, Julia Child worked for the Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor of the CIA. Wikipedia says, " For a year, she worked at the OSS Emergency Rescue Equipment Section (ERES) in Washington, D.C. as a file clerk and then as an assistant to developers of a shark repellent needed to ensure that sharks would not explode ordnance targeting German U-boats."

Hmmmm, Nokia happens to be based in Finland. Do you suppose that has anything to do with it?

Poor sheep probably couldn’t move! That’s probably why they finally got him.

Makes sense that there’s such a contest in Finland; a Finn invented text messaging.Sounds like shark repellent was used in the Atlantic Ocean; the only context in which I ever heard of shark repellent before was in the Gilligan’s Island episode, Two Men and a Raft. In that episode, the Professor made shark repellent, and Gilligan said that it was delicious. They were stranded on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

There are quite a few people I’d like to see entering the phone chucking championship!
