Well, now foreign tourists will know what to look out for when visiting that Chinese zoo. (“Mommy, Daddy, how come the penguins aren’t moving?” asks some kid.)

We used to have (real) penguins here at a hotel in Honolulu.

I wish they’d elaborate why the Hass Avocados are named after the mailman.

Scientists?.. all of them? Sounds BS to me

Ok, so now the do gooders aren’t just satisfied with telling the human population they are obese. Now they’re off after the bumble bees. Maybe this is a result of the anti-body shaming movement. Since it’s now non-PC to tell humans they’re fat (oops, plus sized!) they’re moving into the insect world. Where will it stop?

Wouldn’t most bumble bees be drones and not be able to mate anyway?

This is so not true. Bumble bees are larger than honey bees. Bees do not get “fat”. Genetically impossible.

So now I have to put the bees on a low-fat pollen diet?

“Does this stinger make me look fat?”

“Yes, dear, but try the vertical stripes instead.”

I am assuming the “scientists” are theorizing the obesity of bumblebees a reason for the decrease in population as opposed to humankind poisoning them with deadly chemicals. Does ‘theory’ include the decline in the honeybee population as well, dear Scientists?

The commentors today seem to bee all abuzz about the bees.

Are these the same people who said bumblebees are too big to fly, but they do?
