Jimbo: Who sent you a note, Rose? Rose: Peggy Ann! I've told you about her, Jimbo! I was the new kid in class...she came right up to me... And asked me to sit next to her at lunch! And I did...from third grade right through high school! Jimbo: Your first official friend request! Rose: Exactly!

I have a minimal LinkedIn account I created several years ago for contact with a missionary friend. Four years later, I just got a “link” request from someone I never heard of in another state in a profession not related to mine. No explanation why. I’m Soooooo impressed, think I’ll accept the request—NOT!

How I met my wife:I and my twin sister were the the new kids, 10th grade sophomores in High School. At lunch we were desperately looking around the cafeteria for a familiar face, when I saw Linda Carter, as a young girl, sitting there.
My sister, the best wing man in the world, said “I’ll take care of this” and went over. They were freshmen, and giddy that a sophomore wanted to sit with them.
Two days later, I asked to join them, and of course was welcomed. Everyday, until she was allowed to date (16th birthday), we had lunch and I helped her with math. Never fooled her parents for a second, but they liked me.
Married 6 years later, been married 36 years.
