The freshest is always on the bottom. Also, it’s better to pick produce from underneath if it has been sprayed with water. The water is recycled and isn’t very clean. The produce underneath gets less water. Always take the milk, eggs, etc. from the back or on the bottom because they’re colder than those near the front or top.
