Is there anything more pleasant that exploring on the shore of a brook, under the cool canopy of trees? Looking for frogs and tadpoles, and crayfish, and trying to catch minnows in your hands? Actual fishing rather spoiled it for me. I couldn’t understand how adults could stand being so bored. They called it “patience.” Would I ever get that old? Where, here I am, and still the same in the above regard.
I used to love to fish until it hit me that the fish didn’t love it so much and it was actually torture for them, even if you did the catch and release like we did.
