Where’s Vicki when you need her?

if it were me, “one day” would’ve been last weekof course, I’m not one to judge people with finicky cats, considering how I’d give the feline the choice between eating what I serve or going out catching mice.and if she chooses to catch mice, I’m down with that!

I’ve got a dog that hates mixed food. Mix up a bowl with two different kinds of dry food, she won’t touch it. Mix up a bowl with wet and dry food, she won’t touch it. Wet food with beef or lamb, she won’t touch it. Only chicken. Now accidentally drop a small bite of pizza with Italian sausage, mushrooms, cheese, tomato sauce and the crust – it’s gone.

My cats don’t dare be finicky. The food would be gone due to the 2 big eaters among them….oh wait. The female won’t eat wet food, period. Dry food, yes. Mixed flavors or not (she’ll eat the “best” type first then the others later).

If she’d been a male cat, I would have named her Elwood.

In the 1995 my (at the time 13 years old) daughter decided that for her school science project she would sort out the cat’s 3-flavor food to see which shape and flavor the cat preferred. After the 2 week long study was over the cat protested when there were no longer 3 separate dishies to pick from. (BTW: It came out a tie the cat liked the poultry and cheese flavored bits equally, and would only eat the fish flavor when everything else was gone)

I got a deal on some upscale dry catfood and bought it. Not only won’t my cat eat it but none of the strays in the neighborhood care to, not even the raccoons go near it. I go out next day and it is still in the bowl.

Never mind my cats. . .I’ve got friends who won’t let any of the foods on their plates touch each other. . .spaghetti and stews are no-nos. . .how weird is that??

4 cats and a dead gopher….at 2 a.m. on the bed with me….and yes, if the raccoons don’t eat it – it’s plastic from China and no one should eat it.

Ours come in separate bags. Who puts chicken in with fish?

get a dog no fuss. in my home that cat would learn fast to eat as served or starve

We had a Shelty when I was growing up. Goofy dog loved Mom’s stew but when he was done there would be a little pile of onions, a little pile of peas, a little pile of carrots, etc. But not a single smear or drip of the gravy and no pile touched another.

My cats have ‘their druthers’ but I do NOT separate flavors. My dog prefers his dry food separate from the wet…no big deal.
