HOA forbade bird feeders 5 years ago. Chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and deer filed a protest. Birds did not seem to care.

We have one squirrel that sits at the back door waiting in the morning for his/her feeder to get filled. Then there is a blue jay in the tree. After the bird feeders are filled, I whistle a little tune and s/he answers back and then sets up squawking calling the rest. Within 3 min of getting inside there are at least a dozen jays. The little ones come later when the ruckus is over. I’m primarily homebound so feeding them and watching from the window is one of my few joys in life.

We have a birdhouse on a pole and a feeder hanging from a tree branch where they can be seen through a window

Attracts a lot of birds and squirrels

Don’t know if my wife or the cats get the most pleasure watching, but its worth the cost of peanuts and birdseed

HOA would much rather hunters and poachers kill the birds and animals. lol

Due to the amount of cookies I seem to always have in my pockets when off to the horses, I am sure that my alter ego is a vending machine. I KNOW they see me as such :D

why carry a six-foot stepladder into the woods only to stand on the second step while reaching a feeder five-feet off the ground (which you then LIFT to fill because its now level with your navel)?

We had to stop feeding when a pair of hawks discovered the free buffet.

Just go ahead and dump the rest of the bag on the ground and nobody will get hurt.
