At least they’re not thongs.

They can’t wear thongs - they have webbed feet. Have to go with Birkenstocks instead.

So you’re old enough to know the original meaning of thongs. Most people only know them as flip flops.

Nope, he’s talking about footwear. With webbed feet, penguins can’t wear thongs (flip flops), they have to wear Birkenstocks. Yes, I’m old enough to have worn thongs on my feet all summer long.

I used to do the Birkenstocks too! Now I’m Just can’t see to well, etc. Ware Thongs, or Flip Flops when young just thinking about it makes my feet hurt Ouch!1 can;t even wear Birkenstocks anymore :..( Ahhh the days, sigh…………
