I wonder if somewhere in CyberWorld, a digital universe in which game situations and characters are real, a tally is kept of all the people killed for amusement. My son used to play a game in which the main purpose seemed to cause destruction, and I’d ask, "Do you realize how much “human” misery and the millions in property damage you just made metaphysically?" As usual, he didn’t know what the heck I was talking about. He’s getting there, though.

Is there a way to maximize this? Do we integrate over the entire human race, or can we just do population sampling?

Except that the killer(s) of Batman’s parents probably killed more than that.
