Industry has suffered from the introduction of too many managers and a reduction in workers. When I started work there was the boss, a foremen and the workers on the ground floor. Much more efficient than having a manager for clock watching; one for writing memos; another responsible for scheduling meetings to discuss when the next meeting to decide the subject of the meeting after that will take place – and so on….

So if “pre” means before, and “post” means after, the “pre” and the “post” cancel each other out, and now all you’re doing is poning the meeting.
