sjoujke, I’m not so sure…all politicians LOVE attention, that’s why they got in the game in the first place…if a politician sees only 2 members of the press at his conference, he’s bound to do something-good OR bad- to attract attention!
The Senator accidentally said what he felt instead of what his wrangler’s cue cards wanted him to say. He’ll pay for that for years unless he’s protected by the ultra-biased media.

I always thought the Senator looked like Tip O’Neill who was speaker of the House of Representatives from 1977-1987

‘Shoe’ misquoted the senator and ruffled his feathers. It is ‘Shoe’ that is going to have to do the ‘kissing up’.

p.s. I think the senator looks like Ted Kennedy

I’m with Backwards Bert: Ted Kennedy had Belfrey’s white wave forelock more than Tip O’Neill.

Tip Kennedy?

@ IndyMan,
Why should Shoe kiss up to the senator? Shoe doesn’t need the senator’s good will.

why should anyone kiss up to anyone?
