Used to wake up Saturday mornings, got the test pattern for about 15 minutes or so and then the farm report came on. A little odd since we lived just outside of NYC at the time; but my sibs and I watched it!
I remember Gill Cable in the late 60’s - the weather channel was merely a camera panning back and forth across a barometer gauge, a temperature gauge, and a humidity gauge. Hi Tech! Whatever happened to the test pattern with the indian?

It’s almost as good as the test pattern.

It’s better than most everything else, excepting TCM, of course.

Hey, I’m 50 (will turn 51 in December) and I remember TV Test Pattens from my Red and Rover days! (The 1960’s)

Actually this joke was first made by Mark Twain. Unless, of course, he copied it from someone else.
