It’s mostly law-yers who make these laws. We need to get rid of both.

    The old bird’s spot on.

Hopefully, Canada’s better than the USA in that regard.

As a tax preparer, I know that the bureaucrats of the IRS DO NOT WANT an understandable tax code. The Congress in every session just adds to the dog pile.

FishStix - A wonderful piece, indeed. Not saying I disagree with Mr. Reese, but isn’t he making a case for anarchy?

Yes, imagine a country without laws. Provided everybody is as intelligent and reasonable as you are. We could all do whatever we wanted, even if it interfered with someone else’s desire, but we wouldn’t because we are reasonable. Surely we could all navigate all our streets and highways without stop lights, lane markers, and speed limits, because we are all reasonable. There would be no need for theft, because we all would agree on what everybody should have, because we are all so reasonable. Unless we’re not.

If something can go wrong, & hasn’t, it will when it’s less convenient.

A little law is good for us, provided we take them in moderation
