How about taking the pressure off your computer by deep-sixing the pile of papers? Then the anti-virus will be sure to work without all of that extraneous weight! ;)
As invasive as some of the operating systems are the anit-virus killer might mistake them for a real virus, it would be better to slap and tickle it to see if it is a real virus or an updated performance checker.
One of the early virus checkers would “catch itself”, alarming the user. I spent several days removing one such from my company’s PCs. It was a major “cluster function”.:-)
