Everything was safe without the warning labels, including coffee.Just like there would never have been a pandemic if there hadn’t been any testing.

And kids could ride their bikes without brain buckets

And walk to school without a parent in tow

Going to the Drive-in movies was a treat. Got to see some great classics.

“Nine out of ten doctors that smoke, smoke Camels”

“Chesterfields, they satisfy”

“Lucky Strike, toasted to taste better.”

To this former smoker, restrictions on smoking are great. I wish that I had never started.

Yeah, Shoe. Why don’t you get addicted to a nice, clean, injectable drug?

There is NO such thing as the good ol’ days. . .my mother, an RN, had the most horrific stories about patients who were smokers. Tried a cigarette once when I was a teen—my eyes swelled shut, my nose clogged up, and I had a coughing spell fit to bust. Guess who’s allergic to tobacco???

I think today’s cartoon is a subtle jab at the notion that the problem with testing is that it identifies too many people as infected

and without testing the numbers would be way down and things would look better ….and rosier!

I really wish that a tobacco disease had killed off every tobacco plant on Earth prior to 1943. Then I wouldn’t have had to live with smoker’s portable pollution during my lifetime.

Even on Gillian’s Island they listed to the Professor and not the millionaire.

And nobody got sick from secondhand smoke because that hadn’t been discovered either.

Even back in the seventies when my grandfather died of emphysema, my parents referred to the cigarettes he smoked as “coffin nails.”

I think it’s in your genes if cigarettes are going to kill you or not. I’ve seen the horror stories in ads, but don’t know a single person that has been affected that way.

Or computer models and bias so call experts.

Just like there were fewer covid cases because there weren’t so many tests. Or so said Pence.
