Bird: I know, but it's code
I’m sure the local cats and squirrels will find it handy.
It’s “code”??? Code - what does that mean.
I believe it means the “housing code” stating what a building needs in order to be deemed safe and properly-built. That’s what it means where I’m from, anyway! :-)
Dorian That sounds right to me. But imagine applying that to bird houses. Just put out a welcome mat for cats.
This is what happens when OSHA and PETA join hands.
That’s life.
Yes, BUT
To meet code, the house MUST have egress to the ground in case of FIRE.
It doesn’t matter to the Code writers that birds don’t WALK out of the houses.
