Lewreader - paregoric - I haven’t heard about that in years - my mom did the same- but without rum. If we were sick enough to be willing to take paregoric, then we were sick enough to stay home from school.
This also reminds me of the thought - Who ever came up with the idea for non-drowsy children’s couch syrup missed the point.
My wife and I need a shirt like that–but it would have to have arrows pointing up for our three-year-old’s climbing, W-shaped to account for his bouncing up and down, and dashed maybe, to account for his sneaking into his older brother’s room at 6:30 AM so that they’re BOTH good and cranky by 11:00 AM…
