    Harvey , An interesting observation - I thought about it when I drew the cartoon, but submitted it anyway because , as LadyRyln indicated, a pretty good number of people still remember the show.

    The Frosty The Snowman cartoon predates the Waltons by about 3 years. Of course, they still show “Frosty” every year at Christmas time, whereas repeats of The Waltons are somewhat more infrequent. I’d venture to say enough people recall the Waltons, since there are some very recent commercials using the end sequence as a premise.
