I read about a horse that could add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ask it, say 27 ÷ 3 and the horse would stamp its hoof 9 times. Thing was, the horse didn’t know no arithmetic, he’d just watch his trainer and stamp and when the trainer relaxed after the correct number the horse knew to stop. Or in other words the horse could read the micro-expressions of people.
