I can’t remember the last time I saw a wild pitch during an IBB, or a hitter step out and crank a hit on an IBB pitch too close to the plate. But I know both have happened.
Ahhh… been to a game lately? No one watches the game – busy getting food (at least 3 trips), drinks, bathroom and finding their kids (with much shouting and waving.) Then they leave early. Best stick with AAA or college ball.
Or “facebooking” with their friends!I did see Johnny Bench get fooled a 3-2 count, when the catcher signaled a pitch out on ball four, then jumped back in for a perfect strike three! But this will save a whole 14 seconds per game!
I’M not in my prime either! The last ball game I watched all the way through was game 7 this last year. And I usually end up sleeping through several innings.

Not Madden in his prime! (Then again, baseball isn’t in its prime……)
