But Texas is full of idiots with a lot of money so paying a lot of money to the best pitcher in softball is probably better use of their money than what they spend most of it on.
The loosening of transfer rules and the legalization of paying players does have one upside. There will be fewer “one and done” basketball stars, since it may make more sense to stay in school honing your skills for a while. Talents like LeBron James will still be an exception, but then there aren’t many like LeBron.
