Obviously, it’s been a long time since Crisp and Tarzan were kids! Since I started reading Tarzan of the Apes in the comics back in the 1930s it really is a long time. Tarzan should be in a wheelchair by now!
Happy but late fiftieth anniversary tarzan. As one of the forerunners of the golden age of comics and the birth of science fiction. I owe you all my life for a media that has made me the man i am today.
hmmm…let’s see now…Tarzan was born in 1888…which would make him 84 50 years ago…so wheelchair? I think not…course if we went from first publication date of 1912 he’s 100 next year, so wheelchair…maybe, but for him? Probably not required…
Japanese for “Gung Ho” is “working together” per the old Randolph Scott WW2 film of the same title. Mr. Crispy must be a fan. We are getting into a “Family Affair” type storyline here, not good for action devotees. G’Day Bwana Quartermain!
S0 … October 2012 will mark 100 years of Tarzan in print. Wouldn’t it be nice if the Edgar Rice Burroughs conglomerate would publish a grand collection … books, comics, movies, etc. I would love to see all of Hal Foster’s strips.

Crisp may just be the dullest comic character who ever lived. I could be wrong…other nominees are always welcome.
