John Clayton, Tarzan’s father was very well armed indeed. He had handguns and rifles. The mutineers stole almost all the weapons. only a rifle remained. Tarzan had his father’s rifle in his cabin, he didn’t use it because he didn’t know how to repair it after the apes tried to use it after John Clayton died. Read Tarzan of the Apes the novel.

The best illustrated version was done by Hal Foster in 1929—also by a different artist in the first big little book “Tarzan Of the Apes” in 1932

So Tarzan’s daddy packed heat? Tarzan is AGAINST firearms. Must be leading up to that somewhere along in the story.

Tarzan may have disliked firearms but used them many times in the novels.
