Those “lazy” boys are still in LaLa land with the Sandman (the good one) while I have been, once again, disturbed by my small yet ferocious furry feline friend. Baby Tarzan was a chubby one by all appearances and now that the Jungle Child Service has arrived he will continue to grow into a strong adoptee! Wishing everyone a very Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving, drive safely, don’t consume too much, drink your jungle-juice with restraint, and see all of you tomorrow with full bellies—-especially Bwana “Q”. Perhaps Ms. Hooters will show up unexpectedly at Brickhouse’s house with some spicy wings, an even spicier costume, and a appetite for “fun”!Good luck with that Mr. ’House!! :)

For a second, I thought Tarzan shouldn’t know about this part since his Dad never wrote it down (being dead), but Tarzan learned the language of the apes later on so his ape “Mom” probably just told him about it.

Happy Thanksgiving! This strip has been fantastic in telling Tarzan’s origin! gocomics needs more classic strips like it. I also like the vintage Rip Kirby and Flash Gordon.

According to Tarzan Returns, Kala DID tell him about her picking him up. Of course, for many years he thought she gave birth to him, not Lady Alice.

Airliner? In 1880-something? Must be Steam Punk!

I ‘ll admit I’m not a great big fan of modern adaptations that take liberty with Burroughs. But one of the funniest scenes I ever saw was in Greystoke, the Legend of Tarzan of the Apes where Tarzan has a rather unique way of waking up Kerchak in the morning [and also provoking their final fight!] For some odd reason I still can’t figure out, the airline left that scene out when they showed Greystoke as the in-flight movie.
